The company sold subscription RPA for post-acute revenue cycle management, covering eligibility checks, prior authorization, and claims processing for the skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and rehab centers that treat patients after a hospital stay. RPA could follow a script, but it could not read a handwritten physician note, reason over a scanned eligibility form, or adapt when a payer's rules did not match the pattern it was built for. Handwritten, scanned, and faxed records defeated the rule-based system, and every workflow gap reverted to human handling that could not scale with provider growth.
Ideas2IT designed and built a vertical agentic AI platform purpose-built for post-acute RCM, replacing the subscription RPA product end to end rather than adding AI on top of it. The platform runs on AgentHero, Ideas2IT's open-source agentic infrastructure, with a deterministic agents-on-reins control architecture so agent behavior stays bounded and auditable at enterprise scale. Ideas2IT built LLM-powered document comprehension directly into the platform to read the handwritten physician notes, faxed authorization requests, and scanned eligibility forms that defeated the old RPA scripts. Agentic orchestration now runs eligibility verification, prior authorization, and claims processing end to end across the full patient financial journey: referral and intake, eligibility and benefit verification, prior authorization, claims submission, and denials management and payment posting. The shift from a tool the customer operated to a platform that operates the outcome moved pricing from seats sold to value delivered.
Ideas2IT replaced the subscription RPA product end to end rather than bolting AI onto it. The platform runs on AgentHero, Ideas2IT's open-source agentic infrastructure, with a deterministic agents-on-reins architecture at its core: in eligibility and authorization work an error carries direct financial and compliance cost, so agent behavior had to be bounded and auditable before it could run unsupervised at enterprise scale. Determinism only mattered once the platform could reliably get structured data in the first place, which meant reading the documents rules-based automation never could. Handwritten physician notes, faxed authorization requests, and scanned eligibility forms all defeated the old scripts, so Ideas2IT built LLM-powered document comprehension directly into the platform to process that entire class of input. Agentic orchestration now runs the full patient financial journey end to end: referral and intake, eligibility and benefit verification, prior authorization, claims submission, and denials and payment posting. That shift, from a tool the customer operated to a platform that operates the outcome, changed the pricing model from seats sold to value delivered.
Software vendors in regulated, document-heavy verticals where rules-based automation keeps hitting a wall on unstructured input, particularly healthcare and other compliance-bound sectors where that fallback caps how fast a business can grow.
